Intelligent photovoltaic module
By integrating intelligent electronics, a conventional PV module becomes an intelligent module and enables optimised energy generation, security and monitoring of photovoltaic systems. The requirements for security, reliability and robustness in this sector are enormous; for safety reasons, reactions have to be as quick as possible in case of defective solar modules. In order to guarantee this, each individual module must be fitted with corresponding real time sensors. Until now, these sensors could only be operated with long temporal delays due to the large energy consumption. This also resulted in not providing security at night. The endiio solution enables sensors with ten thousand times lower energy consumption. As a result, we are able to use supercaps, which allow the sensor network to be switched on and off in real time, even at night. Even when installing solar panel systems, endiio is an extremely cost-effective solution with little hardware expense. Up to 65,000 sensors can be managed with just one gateway.
