Endiio radio module now ETSI EN 300.220 certified

The start-up company, endiio, providers of low power IoT radio sensor networks with real time capability, have received European certification for their radio module in line with ETSI EN 300.220. The new technology will be available from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

According to the manufacturer, the endiio solution is up to 10,000 times more economical in real time mode than all conventional communication solutions, such as Bluetooth Low Energy, ZigBee or WLAN. The radio module is also available for OEM systems and as part of the endiio Evaluation Board.

Easily implement large energy-saving networks

In addition to a gateway, the certified radio module includes a customisable software and sample projects that allow developers and OEMs to quickly and easily integrate real time communication capabilities into their applications.

Thanks to the patented wake up on demand radio technology, the sensors are in an energy-saving deep sleep. They can be “woken up” at any time to access real time data. Each sensor node acts as a router, which means that the user can implement large energy-saving and self-configuring mesh networks and IoT systems with just a little hardware.

Platform supports sensors made by well-known manufacturers

The endiio Evaluation Board with integrated radio module allows developers and OEMs to build test systems quickly and easily, so that these can be used as a platform for their applications. The endiio IoT platform already supports sensors from AMS, Bosch, B+B and Sensirion. Others are to follow. The radio module and Evaluation Board are easy to configure using the endiio Gateway and can be put into operation quickly. In addition, the Gateway provides a development environment with the Python programming language, which allows users to very easily create new applications. The European standard ETSI EN 300.220 regulates the electromagnetic compatibility and interference resistance of short range radio equipment.
